The only unit with a 10x writing speed in our test was singled firstly by
it's the good access time obtained. The results of the writing tests were pretty
good as well, and for those who want a unit capable of writing with the highest
possible speed, CRW1832A may be a quite interesting option.
The unit is also provided with an audio cable, screws, a diskette with drivers,
but has no EIDE ribbon, which you will have to buy. In exchange, the box holds
a CD-RW which supports an 8x writing speed.. On the frontal panel there are
two buttons, open/close and play/skip, very useful in case you want to listen
to an audio CD without opening any special application.
You may also trust the writing applications included with the unit, which spares
you the need for an extra expense. The documentation is reduced to a mere sheet
of paper, which explains you in several languages the steps for installing the
unit..
