Student associations

There are several associations of students in Iasi. They offer a meeting-place for members and offer various activities.

The associations functioning in the University are:

• the Students' League,

• AIESEC (The International Association of Economics and Management Students),

• AEGEE (The General Association of European Students - [email protected]),

• ELSA (The European Law Student Association),

• ASII (The Computer Science Student Association - http://students.infoiasi.ro/asii)

These are non-governmental, non-profit organizations that have been created in order to ensure that student's rights are respected. These associations are involved in the process of increasing students' contribution to the development and improvement of the education process and of informing them about international programmes and possibilities to study abroad.

Other associations

"Studmont" is a Students' Circle of Mountain Tourism affiliated to the Students' Club. Its members are pupils, students and graduates for whom the mountains are a real hobby. They participate in various competitions organized by other Tourism Clubs and Associations in the country as well as in ecological actions.
