Well, the theory isn't everything...Co-operationLocal and National Co-operationThe Faculty of Computer Science has co-operation relations with other faculties related to Computer Science field in Romania (Bucuresti, Cluj, Timisoara, Brasov, Constanta, Galati etc.) . Theoretical and applied research contracts are granted by the Ministery of National Education, the Ministry of Research and Technology, the Romanian Academy or by private foreign or local companies. International co-operationThe Faculty of Computer Science has developed its international relations continuously since 1990. There have been established direct partnerships with the European universities witch resulted in: exchanges of Faculty members who have taught courses and presented the results of their scientific research, specialization of young assistant professors/lecturers, co-operation in PhD's etc. More, the academic co-operation has developed with important hardware and software companies such as: The Faculty of Computer Science takes part in international programmes of an educational and scientific nature. The Faculty of Computer Science has been geared to the TEMPUS programmes (MATAROM, DECOR, DISCO, COMPTRAIN etc.), and has, now, co-operation agreements inside the SOCRATES, LEONARDO DA VINCI and COPERNICUS European programmes. SOCRATES co-operation agreements have been concluded with several well-known European Universities. Over the years, at the University at the invitation of professors from our Faculty, numerous personalities of the scientific community have presented conferences . |
